Javier is a 16-year-old Harlem kid who is passionate about engineering and robotics.  He spends every day after school making little robots in his bedroom, hoping to one day create practical technological answers.  However, his aspirations are halted in the absence of a suitable laptop and access to robotics courses.

 Advanced STEM courses are not offered at his school, and his family cannot afford further instruction or supplies.  Javier requires equipment and instruction to advance, but he has maintained stellar grades and even won a school science fair with a homemade robot.
